Radiation is an interesting technique in the modern field of medicine. It is first developed by Roentgen for medical use such as X-rays from the initial findings of Becquerel. From 1890s until now, we use updating modern technology in medicine and biology which includes x-rays, radiation and much more. Radiation is widely used to cure cancer. In this process, radiation kills cancer cells and slows down the production of cancer cells. While using such radiations, safety precautions are taken: doctors use minimal exposure, usage of shied, clothing and distance. Some potential risks of using radiation are hair loss, infertility, skin issues and memory loss. In conclusion, radiation is used for positive good in medicine and biology. Until now we do not have a treatment to cure cancer completely but our only hope is to treat it with treatments like radiotherapy.
